Obertauern Ski Area
The Obertauern ski area is the perfect place for holidaymakers who are looking for something special. Here you will find over 100km of finely-groomed slopes, modern ski lifts and plenty of opportunities to enjoy a good meal.
The ski area is situated at 1,630 to 2,313m above sea level, which guarantees snowfall from the end of November until the beginning of May. Winter sports enthusiasts of all kinds come together to enjoy the cold season to the fullest. Skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and many other winter activities can all be enjoyed in Obertauern, making it a real winter paradise.

Winter fun for the whole family: Tobogganing is the perfect change of pace in every winter holiday and is simply a must. The natural toboggan run on the Gnadenalm is 1.5 km long and floodlit every evening.
You can enjoy tobogganing all day long, however. The toboggan run is open from 11:00. The varied route is a genuine natural toboggan run and is tended-to daily. Fun on two skids is an essential for all ages during every holiday in Obertauern.

Night skiing
Skiing beneath a star-studded sky!
Night skiing takes place every Monday and Thursday at the 4-seater chair lift Edelweissbahn from 7:00pm to 10.00pm.
Floodlights illuminate the approx. 1,500 m run at the Edelweissbahn. All lift tickets from the Obertauern and Lungo-Skipool that are valid for minimum of 1 ½ days can be used for this event as well as special night skiing tickets, which are available at the Edelweissbahn-station. The Salzburger Super Ski Card is not valid for these night skiing events.

Just switch off and go cross-country skiing, at an even pace, kilometre upon kilometre through Salzburger Land. Key Hotel Information
The 2026/2027 winter season at our hotel begins on November 20, 2026, and runs through April 17, 2027. The 2027 summer season begins on July 2, 2027, and runs through October 2, 2027.
Our hotel is closed between the winter and summer seasons – we use this time to further develop our offerings for you: April 18 through July 1, 2027.
Free parking spaces are available in our underground parking garage. We’d be happy to park your car for you and have it ready at the hotel entrance when you check out.
Several charging stations for electric vehicles are available in our underground parking garage. Payment is made by credit card directly at the station.
Families, couples, and solo travelers alike can enjoy their vacation here: Our hotel offers an adults-only spa as well as a spa area for families.
We provide fun-filled childcare for children ages 1 and up and have activity areas for children and teens that offer excitement for all age groups.
When it comes to dining, our kitchen has plenty to offer for gourmets of all ages.
Your room will be ready for you starting at 3:00 p.m. on the day of your arrival, and we ask that you check out by 11:00 a.m. on the day of your departure.
Our front desk is staffed 24 hours a day. Please note that check-outs are not possible between 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.
